Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia accredited in Turkmenistan

On June 16, 2025, on the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova received credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to Turkmenistan Alenka Suhadolnik.

The head of the national parliament, on behalf of the head of state, congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to the responsible post and wished him success in strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

In turn, the Ambassador thanked for the kind words and conveyed warm greetings from the leadership of the Republic of Slovenia to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as wishes for well-being and prosperity to the people of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the diplomat was introduced to the main directions of Turkmenistan's domestic and foreign policy, successfully implemented under the leadership of the President of the country. It was noted that strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation with countries of the world, in particular, Europe, is one of the priorities of Turkmenistan's peace-loving foreign policy strategy.

Also during the conversation, the importance of increasing dialogue between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Slovenia in various areas was emphasized.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to Turkmenistan Alenka Suhadolnik expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and constructive meeting, assuring that she would make every effort to further strengthen friendly relations between the two countries.
