Turkmenistan stands for constructive cooperation with the European Union

On January 14, 2026, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union to Turkmenistan Beata Peksa.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues related to further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, as well as cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The parties paid special attention to the arrangement of the upcoming visits at high and the highest level.

The sides exchanged views on various topics of regional and international agenda.

The diplomats also discussed the implementation of current and potential joint projects in the field of high technologies, transportation, economy, energy, environmental protection and professional education.
