Event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan took place in Minsk

On August 25, 2020, the successive session of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member-States at the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth was held with the online participation of the CIS Executive Committee’s Unit located in Moscow. In the framework of the session, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belarus organized an event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan.

The permanent representatives of the CIS Member-States, representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and the staff members of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belarus participated to the event.

During the meeting, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Belarus informed the participants about the planned events in the country and abroad, timed to the 25th anniversary of Neutrality of the Turkmen state that is recognized by the Resolution of the UN General Assembly “On Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan,” as well as noted the historic peculiarity of the Neutrality status of the country.

In addition, the speeches of the First Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee – Executive Secretary V.A.Guminskiy, as well as of the Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Moldova were heard. They underlined the special importance of the Neutrality of Turkmenistan in the promotion of peace, stability and security on the regional and global scales.
