The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan had a number of constructive meetings in the city of Dushanbe

Today, on November 30, within the framework of his participation in the 14th Cooperation Forum “Central Asia – the Republic of Korea”, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov was received by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

During the constructive conversation the parties discussed the results of the 15th Summit of the Heads of the Member States of the Economic Cooperation Organization held recently in Turkmen capital. It was underlined that this multilateral meeting has become the effective platform for the exchange of views on the broad range of issues, which represent general interest in the framework of this reputable international organization.

Concerning the issues of bilateral and multilateral agendas, the sides noted progressive development of Turkmen-Tajik interaction, where the countries demonstrate their commitment to the expansion of the spheres of trade-economic partnership and further deepening of cultural-humanitarian ties.

Also, within the framework of the visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held negotiations with yje minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Chung Eui-yong.

During the talk the Ministers noted with satisfaction the dynamics of the development of partnership of Turkmenistan with the Republic of Korea in bilateral and multilateral formats.

In this regard the diplomats highly evaluated the activities of the Cooperation Forum “Central Asia – the Republic of Korea”, serving as regular multilateral consultative platform. Its contribution to the development of cooperation between the states of Central Asia and the Republic of Korea was highlighted in the following spheres: energy, infrastructure, transport and logistics, science and technologies, information-communication technologies, digitalization, textile industry and forestry, agriculture, climate and environment, health protection, tourism and cultural-humanitarian interaction.
