Prospects for bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia discussed on the sidelines of LLDC 3

On August 6, 2025, on the sidelines of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Countries (LLDC3), a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khereiji.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia. The importance of high-level and top-level visits in strengthening interstate ties was particularly emphasized.
The diplomats paid special attention to further strengthening political, diplomatic and trade and economic relations.
The parties discussed cooperation within the framework of international organizations, primarily the UN.
At the end of the meeting, mutual interest was expressed in further expanding the Turkmen-Saudi partnership based on mutual respect and trust.
