The Ambassador of the State of Qatar concludes his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan

On 8 October 2025, Turkmenistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov met with Hamad bin Rashid bin Hamad Al-Azbi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Turkmenistan, who is completing his diplomatic mission in our country.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar expressed his sincere gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for the comprehensive support provided during his diplomatic activities, as well as for creating favourable conditions for the successful fulfilment of his mission.
During the talks, the parties confirmed the commitment of the two countries to the further development of bilateral relations in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields.
The importance of organising visits at the highest and high levels was noted, as well as the need to further improve the legal framework for cooperation.
The parties spoke in favour of continuing the positive practice of cooperation and mutual support within international organisations, primarily the UN.
During the conversation, interest was expressed in strengthening trade and economic ties. In this context, the role of the Turkmen-Qatari Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was noted, preparations for the next meeting of which are being made at the interdepartmental level.
The diplomats also confirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties.
