Consultations were held at the level of heads of structural divisions of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkiye

On June 5, 2025, consultations were held at the MFA of Turkmenistan at the level of heads of structural divisions of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkiye.

The Turkmen side was represented by the head of the Middle East countries Department of the MFA of Turkmenistan. The Turkish delegation was led by the Head of the General Directorate for Central Asia and the Organization of Turkic States at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkiye Togan Oral.

During the meeting, the parties noted with satisfaction the traditionally high level of dynamically developing interstate relations, expressing the opinion that contacts at high and the highest levels, regularly held consultations between the external policy agencies are an important factor in promoting bilateral relations.

The interlocutors considered a wide range of issues in the context of further development of political-diplomatic ties, expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation, strengthening the legal framework.

The parties confirmed that Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkiye attach great importance both to bilateral cooperation and interaction within the framework of international and regional structures.

Speaking about the need for coordinated actions to expand economic activities, the parties noted the role of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation and the Turkmen-Turkish Business Council. The issues of partnership in the areas of trade, energy, construction, industrial cooperation and transport were discussed.

Interest was expressed in developing a cultural dialogue, partnership in science, education, sports and healthcare.
