Turkmenistan sent humanitarian aid to Afghanistan
Following the instruction of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero Arkadag, given at a regular meeting of the Board of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to provide assistance to the brotherly people of Afghanistan affected by the earthquake, humanitarian aid has been sent to the neighboring country.
At a regular meeting of the Board of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Executive Director and Vice President for Medical Activities of the Foundation, O.Atabayeva noted that the news of the recent catastrophic earthquake in Afghanistan prompted her to ask the Hero-Arkadag to allow the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to provide humanitarian aid to this country and its brotherly people, especially children.
Approving this initiative, the National Leader of the Turkmen people instructed the relevant officials to organize it.
In accordance with the decision, the ceremony for sending medicines, medical supplies, textiles, and food products to Afghanistan was organized based on the noble traditions established by the Turkmen people throughout their history and recognized as global models.
Representatives of public organizations of our country and the Chargé d'Affaires of Afghanistan took part in the humanitarian action.
Providing such assistance during the recovery from the destruction caused by natural disasters is a manifestation of the highest principles of humanism. The prompt adoption of urgent measures to support those affected is proof of Turkmenistan's commitment to strengthening universal peace and stability and the triumph of humanitarian ideals.
