The film “The Composer” has been honored with special awards by TURKSOY in the framework of the Days of Turkmen Cinema in the Republic of Türkiye

On 17 February 2026, within the framework of the Days of Turkmen Cinema in the Republic of Türkiye, a screening and award ceremony of the feature film “The Composer” took place at the Yaşar Kemal Cultural Center in Ankara.

For outstanding achievements in musical composition for cinema, composer Kerim Berdimuhamedov was awarded the special prize “Winged Golden Steed” His work received high recognition from film industry professionals, critics, and the international cultural community.

Special recognition was also given to the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which made a significant contribution to the realization of the project. The Foundation was honored with the “Grand Winged Falcon” award for its active support in the creation of the film.

The ceremony emphasized the important role of public organizations in the development of national culture and art, as well as in supporting talented filmmakers.

The awards ceremony was conducted on behalf of TURKSOY by its Secretary General Sultan Raev, who presented the awards to the authors and partners of the film. On behalf of the Turkmen side, the awards were received by the Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan A.Shamuradov.

In his speech, the Minister expressed sincere gratitude for the high appreciation of the work of Turkmen filmmakers. He also highlighted the significant support provided by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in promoting and developing national cinematography.

The ceremony demonstrated that modern Turkmen cinema not only preserves national traditions and cultural values, but also actively integrates into the international cultural space, engages in professional exchange, and contributes meaningfully to the development of world cinema.
